Partners for agricultural innovation and sustainability

The UWA campus built the PAIS 2.0 program creates the opportunity for students to work hands-on with projects in their majors. This program allows face-to-face conversations with landowners around town and gives the student workers experience to better their understanding of the job.

I worked as a media consultant with PAIS 2.0, and designed this vertical banner to be utilized at conferences, meetings, workshops, and other events. The design of this banner focuses on the basic information needed to pull in not only student workers, but also landowners who need help. I highlighted the focus areas of what the program does while also recruiting members.

For this design, I incorporated the University graphics, fonts and colors, keeping the same visuals around campus for students and visitors.

The PAIS 2.0 program began at The University of West Alabama, and their partners include the United States Department of Agriculture, National Institute of Food and Agriculture, Alabama Soil and Water Conservation Committee, East Mississippi Community College and Coastal Alabama Community College.

I designed a nearly identical flyer targeted toward landowners in the area.

The Office of Sponsored programs and research

I currently hold an assistant position at UWA’s Office of Sponsored Programs and Research, and we schedule workshops throughout each calendar year. Some of the workshops target our faculty and staff for a better understanding of grant writing, fundamentals of grants, and how to break down the massive amount of information involved in the grant process.

Some of our workshops target specific programs on campus to help them understand the research process and breakdown of grants in their category. We hold these events to build attention for how helpful grants can be for the University.

In this flyer, I focused on reaching our faculty and staff with all the information they need to know before the workshop. I used graphics, fonts and colors to abide by UWA’s graphic standards.
